It is easy to cut expenses in IT, but what cost does it have to the business? With the all the commotion about healthcare costs it is worth mentioning a correlation. Many doctors are stating that people even with insurance are not going to the doctor as much to save money. The result is they end up in the emergency room with a lot higher costs. Not only are they more sick, but it also costs them more in the long run. IT is no different. If you ignore the preventative maintenance and the ongoing IT expenses and capital investments with your IT infrastructure it is only a matter of time before something major breaks. The result…lost productivity, lost revenue, and increased expenses.

Another thing to note, doctors are experienced and trained to diagnose illnesses and provide treatments. It is not recommended that you treat yourself. In fact even most doctors have their own doctor. So find an IT services provider or hire and employee who is trained in IT. You being the owner or manager of a company, there is much more money to be made using your time wisely, than saved working on your IT to cut expenses!
